The right response is fast, calm and safety-focused: make the area safe, avoid guesswork and call a qualified electrician.

For homeowners, facility operators and property managers across Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts, the first question is usually simple: is this an electrical emergency, or can it wait for normal service? The answer depends on the symptoms, the building and what is connected to the affected circuit.

What Counts as an Electrical Emergency?

Ask whether the contractor is licensed and insured, whether a live person answers the emergency call, and whether the electrician can explain the fault and recommended repair in plain language. You should also know whether the work will be documented and whether any follow-up inspection or repair is required.
